Myhomecare Celebrates Success at the HCCI Home Care Awards 2025

Myhomecare were incredibly proud to attend the HCCI Home Care Awards 2025, a wonderful event that recognises the dedication, compassion and professionalism of those working across Ireland’s home care sector. This year was an especially proud moment for Myhomecare as two of our team members, Edwin and Lucy, were awarded for their outstanding contributions to care.

Lucy Lynch – Nurse of the Year

Lucy Lynch, who has been part of the Myhomecare team since 2015, was honoured with the Nurse of the Year Award.

Lucy provides specialist nursing care to children with complex needs and is known for her compassion, professionalism and dedication to the families she supports. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her young patients receive the highest standard of care while helping families maintain a sense of normality at home.

“Lucy is a wonderful Nurse that I am very proud that she is part of the Myhomecare Team. Lucy epitomises Myhomecare’s core values and demonstrates these in the commitment to her role. She has excellent communication skills, accountability in the care she delivers, the utmost respect for her colleagues and is a confident, compassionate caring Nurse.”

Alongside her clinical expertise, Lucy is a fantastic support to her colleagues, often mentoring new nurses and helping them settle into care packages smoothly. Her commitment, kindness and reliability make her an incredibly valued member of the Myhomecare team.

Edwin Solis – Unsung Hero of the Year

We were also delighted to celebrate Edwin Solis, who received the Unsung Hero Award.

Edwin joined Myhomecare in 2018 as a carer and now works as a supervisor, supporting both clients and carers in the field. Known for his reliability and kindness, Edwin is someone who is always ready to help wherever he is needed.

One of the most powerful examples of Edwin’s compassion was when he accompanied a client on a long journey back to the Philippines so they could reunite with their family during their final days. Edwin provided round-the-clock care throughout the journey, ensuring the client could return home safely and spend their final moments surrounded by loved ones.

Edwin also shared this deeply moving experience on an episode of Carers in Cars, offering a personal insight into the journey and what it meant to him to support his client in this way.

Lucy and Edwin truly represent the heart of home care. Their dedication, compassion and commitment to supporting others embody the values we strive for every day at Myhomecare.

At Myhomecare, we are passionate about supporting and developing our teams to deliver the highest standard of care. Through ongoing training, career progression opportunities and initiatives such as our Care Academy, we ensure our carers and nurses are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in their roles.

If you’re looking to build a rewarding career where you can truly make a difference, join a team that values and supports you every step of the way.

Myhomecare Doubles Workforce with 300 New Healthcare Jobs

Press Release

Myhomecare Doubles Workforce with 300 New Healthcare Jobs

95% of New Roles Will Be Homecare Nurses

Myhomecare is doubling its workforce through the creation of 300 jobs as part of a major recruitment campaign. This campaign was created in recognition of the high level of demand in the home care space, especially this winter.

Established in Dundalk, Louth in 2006 by Servisource Recruitment (part of the CPL Group), Myhomecare currently employs over 220 staff nationwide, which include homecare workers and administrative staff.

Out of the 300 new jobs, over 95% of them will be homecare positions, homecare assistants or homecare nurses, all of which will be flexible carer roles. The campaign will be recruiting for these varied positions across the 26 counties of Ireland.

Speaking on Myhomecare’s job creation campaign, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said

“This is an incredible expansion by Myhomecare, doubling its workforce and creating 300 new jobs. These additional homecare nurses and assistants will make a big difference to countless people and families up and down the country, allowing those with additional needs to stay in the comfort of their own home.”

It will of course also take some pressure off of hospitals, by allowing people to return home and be looked after there, rather than in a hospital. Congratulations to the team involved.
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar

“From my own previous experience as a healthcare assistant, I understand the impact and responsibility these roles bring. It is such a rewarding career knowing that we are making a difference in the lives of those most vulnerable in our community.”

We are extremely excited to welcome 300 additional healthcare professionals into the Myhomecare family, doubling our existing workforce to over 520 nationwide.

says Myhomecare Operations Manager Deirdre Doyle.

Senator John McGahon endorsed Myhomecare’s campaign saying,

“It is fantastic to see local Louth company Myhomecare creating 300 incredibly valuable jobs across Ireland. Supporting our elderly community in continuing a safe and independent life in their own homes is something we should always strive for and these new roles will certainly assist in achieving this.”
Senator John McGahon
