Myhomecare Joins Friends of the Elderly in Kilkenny

For another year running, the Myhomecare team was delighted to join Friends of the Elderly on their annual outing, this time taking in the sights of Kilkenny.

The trip has become a firm favourite on the calendar, giving our team the chance to spend the day with the people we support outside of their usual routine, sharing conversation, laughter, and a change of scenery. The day started with a coffee stop along the way, a chance for everyone to catch up before arriving in Kilkenny, where its medieval streets set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable visit.

No day out would be complete without a good dinner, and the group sat down together to enjoy a well-earned meal before the real fun began. The evening rounded off with dancing, with plenty of energy and laughter as everyone took to the floor, a lovely way to bring the trip to a close.

At Myhomecare, moments like these matter as much as the everyday care we provide. Trips like this are about connection, companionship, and reminding the people we support that they’re never far from a friendly face.
